CPL Week 3: Cavalry FC On Top After Al Classico

Calgary, AL. May 21 – Calvary FC continue their winning ways in the third week of the 2019/2020 Canadian Premier League season.

Despite being a short week, there was still plenty of emotion to go around thanks to the Al Classico featuring the two Alberta clubs in the league. The top side at the moment, Calvary didn’t end up disappointing, as they defeated rivals FC Edmonton 1:0 at home. The lone game winning goal came from Jordan Brown, who redirected the ball into the back of the net from a shot by Elijah Adekugbe from outside the box. This win sees the Cavs continue their early dominance in the league with Wheeldon Jr’s side yet to have face a loss. The league will also now get a by-week, with the next CPL gameday coming on Saturday.
